Schluter JOLLY Wall Tile Edge Trim

Schluter JOLLY is a wall tile edge trim that finishes and protects outside corners and the exposed edges of tiled walls, backsplashes and bathtub surrounds. Its trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg sets in the thin-set under the tile, and the 90° visible face protects the tile edge from chipping. Choose a height from 1/4 in. to 1/2 in. to match your tile, in aluminum, anodized aluminum, brushed stainless steel or chrome-plated solid brass, with matching outside corners and connectors. For pros and DIY renovators, with delivery across Canada.

What is Schluter JOLLY used for?

JOLLY is a finishing and edge-protection profile for outside corners and other tile edges on walls. It is made for the top edge of a tiled wall, backsplashes and bathtub surrounds, and it keeps tile edges from chipping. Its trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg is set in the thin-set bond coat under the tile, and an integrated joint spacer leaves an even 1/16 in. to 1/8 in. (1.5 to 3 mm) grout joint between the tile and the profile. Popular sizes: JOLLY matte black 3/8 in. and JOLLY greige 1/2 in.

How do I choose the right Schluter JOLLY height for my tile?

Pick the profile height that accommodates the thickness of your tile. Once set, the tile face should be flush with the top of the profile; the profile can sit up to about 1/32 in. (1 mm) lower, never higher. JOLLY comes in 1/4 in. (6 mm), 5/16 in. (8 mm), 3/8 in. (10 mm), 7/16 in. (11 mm) and 1/2 in. (12.5 mm) heights. Measure the tile before you order; the height is in every JOLLY profile and corner name. Not sure which height fits your tile? Contact us.

Which finishes and lengths does Schluter JOLLY come in?

JOLLY is made in colour-coated aluminum, textured colour-coated aluminum, anodized aluminum (for example brushed brass, brushed nickel and polished chrome), brushed stainless steel and chrome-plated solid brass. Most profiles are 8 ft 2-1/2 in. (2.5 m) long, and select finishes also come in 10 ft (3.05 m) lengths. The stainless steel version does not have the integrated joint spacer in the vertical wall direction.

How do I finish an outside corner with Schluter JOLLY?

Use a JOLLY outside corner in the same height and finish as your profile. JOLLY now has a 90° face, and its matching corners use plug-in connections: a JOLLY corner connector pin snaps into the corner piece, then slides into the profile channel. To line up two profiles end to end, use JOLLY profile-to-profile connectors: insert each connector about half its length into one profile, then slide on the next profile; a friction fit holds them.

Can I use Schluter JOLLY on a tile floor edge?

JOLLY is a wall profile; Schluter originally designed it for walls and countertops. For tile edges on floors, Schluter makes SCHIENE, with an 87° sloped wall that transfers point loads to the substrate and protects the tile edge where tile meets carpet, at expansion joints or on stairs. See Schluter SCHIENE or all Schluter tile edge trims.

Is there a PVC version of Schluter JOLLY?

Yes. JOLLY-P is a PVC profile with an 87° angle for outside corners and other tile edges on walls; sizes of 1/4 in. (6 mm) and up have an integrated joint spacer. See Schluter JOLLY-P.
